Costa Rican Culture
Costa Rica is composed of a mixture between native Indians from this region and Europeans, and also influenced by afro Caribbean, Asiatic, and middle Eastern that have enriched this culture, causing a diverse manifestation that shows off as a Art, epicurism, Music, and literature along with other cultural expressions. Costa Rican citizens are known as "ticos" and the expression was born as the way they describe words in a diminutive way of saying it, other phrases are "pura vida" which is usually used as a greeting or as a courtesy and the "tuanis" is a way to say cool. San Jose the capital, is considered the most crowded avenue because of all its variety of theaters, museums, merchants, restaurants and little rest spots known as cafes.
